Baby K is Here!

I love this family. They volunteered to be my very first photo shoot when I had no idea how to even run the shoot. Since that first shoot, I have had the privilege to take their maternity photos, a day in the life session, and most recently Miss K’s first photos. Thank you M family for joining me on this journey. Miss K was so alert and interested in me the whole time. It made taking her photos such a joy.

Newborns remind me of how miraculous life is. It is such an honor to be able to photograph them for their parents.

Legacy Shoot

My father, aka “Papa” to my boys, visited us recently. We loved the time together, and I pulled out my camera as often as the boys would tolerate. As I looked through the viewfinder, I strove to capture a legacy of images for my boys when they are older. My favorite images included real interactions between them all. Come along with me through a few of the many adventures we had while Papa visited.

Carnivals and fall festivals are in full swing. Papa loves festivals. As a child, I remember going to many of them with my dad. So much so that I equate state fairs and carnivals with my dad. It was so fun to introduce my boys to these events with him. J-man (my eldest) even rode his first carnival ride.

Local farms with hay rides and pumpkin patches are also big on the list. If you haven’t been to Cox Farms yet, I highly recommend it for the preschool and elementary sets.

The goats in the petting zoo area had such personality.

And we took a day to explore Baltimore and the B & O Railroad museum.

Besides sightseeing, we enjoyed lots of down time with Papa. He bought the boys a bubble gun, and well, we went through over two bottles of bubble solution in a few days.

Thanks Papa for all the smiles.

I encourage you to take the time to create a legacy of photos with your parents. They will never lose their value. Consider scheduling a legacy shoot as well so you can be in the photos too.
